Kimberlee Coombes

Kim is a Senior Security Architect and leader of Connection’s Security Architecture team, where she helps organizations navigate today’s evolving cybersecurity landscape and build practical, resilient security strategies. With expertise spanning cybersecurity architecture, security operations, endpoint protection, network security, and emerging technologies, Kim works closely with organizations to understand their unique challenges and design solutions that align security with business needs. Passionate about making cybersecurity approachable and actionable, Kim focuses on helping organizations understand not only the technologies available to protect them, but also how those technologies work together to create a stronger security posture. Her recent work and research have explored some of the industry's most important challenges, including AI-driven cyber threats, ransomware, zero-trust security, and post-quantum cryptography. Kim holds a master's degree in cybersecurity and believes strongly in lifelong learning, continually exploring new technologies, security concepts, and emerging threats. She also holds undergraduate degrees in Japanese and economics, giving her a unique mix of technical, cultural, and analytical perspectives. That background in economics fuels her interest in the intersection of cybersecurity, business, and financial markets, particularly how cyber threats can influence organizations, industries, and the broader economy. Based in New Hampshire, Kim teaches aerial fabric classes and enjoys anime and video games in her free time.
