Future Ready, Quality Outcomes with Connection at HIMSS 2025

Jennifer Johnson

This is the time of year when many organizations host their company kickoffs, sales kickoffs, and partner and industry events. Among them, HIMSS 2025 returns to Las Vegas hosted by the Venetian Convention and Expo Center, Caesar’s Forum and Wynn Las Vegas on March 3–6.

With more than 30,000 people expected from the healthcare payor, provider, and partner ecosystem, this is an event that can easily overwhelm a first-time attendee. By partnering with Connection during our 19th year as Diamond Sponsors, we can help make this week exceptionally valuable to you and your organization, whether this is your first year attending or one of many times.

Partnership: Existing and Emerging

HIMSS publishes a list of exhibiting partners to their public facing domain and keeps it current throughout the approach to the conference. Work with your Connection team to curate your partner meeting lineup and make your time at HIMSS 2025 more effective. This is a great opportunity to meet with your strategic application providers to align to your goals in the year ahead. Many partners will make important announcements and present new collaborations during HIMSS. It’s great to learn this information in real-time.

Continuing Education

Connection has several team members who hold their CAHIMS or CPHIMS certifications. Other professional and clinical attendees may earn CE credits for senior healthcare executives (ACHE), physicians (CME), nurses (CNE), pharmacists (ACPE), clinical dietitians (CDE), psychologists (APA), social workers (ASWB), project managers (PMP and others), health information management professionals (AHIMA), information security professionals (IAPP), cybersecurity professionals (GIAC), certified imaging informatics professionals (CIIP), and those seeking contact hours towards the renewal of CAHIMS®, CPHIMS®, or CPDHTS®. It can be difficult for individuals to keep current with their continuing education and HIMSS does a great job offering accredited content throughout the event.

Public Policy

With a new congress, newly inaugurated President Trump, and new cabinet, HIMSS 2025 offers a public policy track that will provide up-to-the-minute information on changes to regulations, governance, interagency news, and newly formed government departments under the new administration. Expect cybersecurity and artificial intelligence to remain at the forefront of these sessions, as well speakers from the current and former Trump administration leaders, including Seema Verma, former administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the largest payer in the world, between 2017–2021. Payor and provider organizations looking for a deep understanding of healthcare policy reform should invest some time in these sessions.

Networking

HIMSS 2025 is a reunion for those of us who have been attending over the last decade or more, an opportunity to share our clients’ success, and reaffirm the partnership that are our guideposts in delivering exceptional patient care. We look forward to hosting you in Booth #3907 to discuss all things healthcare IT.
