Which Purchasing Option Is Right for You?

Kevin O'Connor

Are you thinking about virtualization or expanding your virtual environment? Does saving time and money when you’re buying VMware products appeal to you? VMware offers a variety of purchasing programs based on deployment size, so you can acquire those products in the most cost-effective manner for your organization.

VMware offers three separate purchasing programs, as well as special offers for federal government agencies:

1. Volume Purchase Program – This is the program with the lowest entry point, requiring an investment of $25,000 or more, perfect for growing organizations.

2. Enterprise Purchase Program – This program is for organizations planning to invest $250,000 or more in VMWare products, so it’s ideal for larger organizations who have a clear virtualization plan.

3. Enterprise License Agreement – This is a custom agreement assembled by Connection and VMware to give organizations ready to spend $600,000 or more the biggest discount possible.

4. Transactional Purchasing Program – This program is an automatic discount for anyone who qualifies as a U.S. Federal Government customer; it requires no enrollment.
