I once heard, “work is no longer where you go, it’s what you do.” And it’s that sentiment that is driving Microsoft to modernize the workplace—to take your desk (figuratively) and place it anywhere you need to go. With today’s productivity tools, like Office 365 Groups and Teams, you can produce the same quality of work collaboration at the airport, at your house—anywhere—as you would in your actual, physical workplace.
As you know, Microsoft has already invested heavily in collaboration and productivity through their cloud-based offering, Office 365. But a lot of us are still trapped in an office. Maybe some of us get the occasional time-off-for-good-behavior moments where we can work from home—but not enough of us, considering the amazing tools we have access to that make mobile productivity a seamless experience. Why is that? A lot of us might assume it is trust. But in a lot of cases, it comes down to tools, a lack of knowledge, and the expectation that supporting work-from-anywhere mobility equals expensive. But I’m here to tell you, if your business is on Office 365, then you are well on your way to being more productive while mobile.
