Our Free Turkey Tradition Continues

Connection

Even though much of our world looks different this year, one thing hasn’t changed—the Connection tradition of giving out free turkeys at Thanksgiving. To show gratitude to our employees for all their hard work and dedication throughout this unusual year, Connection has provided turkeys to employees to enjoy with their families during holidays. Employees in Merrimack, Keene, and Portsmouth, NH received a turkey, while employees based at our other sites received a gift certificate. Because the safety of our employees is paramount, we also offered a contactless delivery option where our team placed the turkey in the employee’s car.

This year, we gave out 450 turkeys to employees in Merrimack, and as part of our Connection Cares program, we distributed 70 turkeys to charity organizations in the community, including:

  • St. John Neumann Church in Merrimack
  • ShareNH in Milford, NH
  • St. James food pantry in Merrimack
  • Pawtucket Soup Kitchen in Pawtucket, RI

In Portsmouth, we delivered 60 turkeys to employees, and the team in Keene gave out 127. In addition, they donated 20 turkeys to the Keene Community Kitchen. Portsmouth also donated four turkeys and 282 pounds of food to GATHER, and 16 turkeys to the Community Church of Durham food pantry.

Connection remains committed to showing our appreciation to our employees as well as to serving our community, no matter what’s happening in the world.
